From the Teacher

This spring, Public - Supply teamed up with Brooklyn-based artist, Edward Granger, to bring some of his trademark color to our notebooks (and hands). This collaboration culminated with a trip to Achievement First Middle School in Bushwick, where Mr. Granger introduced students to the art and science behind mural painting. Using geometry and color theory, Granger worked with students to create a vibrantly colorful large-scale mural based on abstractions of a Rubik’s Cube.

Edward Granger (B. 1989 in South Louisiana) lives and works in New York.  His aesthetic plays with the underlying graphs, threads, and fibers of color space.  Technologies behind print and digital images through collage and large scale painting, allowing the threads and fibers to work together in various spatial, line and color pattern techniques.
