From the Teacher
Thank you so much for your donation to help rebuild this band! We have our trombone students using this instrument to prepare for our Pep rallies, Christmas Concert, Spring Concert, Concert and Sight-Reading contest, Solo and Ensemble Contest, and All-Region contest. Most of this music is advanced music that requires the F attachment to p lay fluidly and masterfully.Our students love the way new instruments look. There are no scratches, it doesn't smell funny, and everything on it works! We showed them the trombone we are receiving, and they were all super pumped and let out some hoots and hollers. All of our trombone players have all been trying to figure out who gets to use the "big boy" trombone first.
Our next step is to get this trombone and prepare for all of our concerts and contests mentioned above. We have a very talented trombone section here at the middle school; with 3 members placing in the all region band last year. That is the highest individual honor a student an receive at this grade level. We are aiming for a higher number this year, and with this new addition to our trombone family, it becomes a goal we feel good about achieving.
