Thank you so much for the donations of materials. We have used all the materials for our students form Kindergarten through 5th grade. The 1st graders used the oil pastels to create the beautiful hearts i provided photos of. The kindergartens used the watercolors, My 4th and 5th grade after school art students have been doing fiber art. They used the felt and wool roving to create pillows/purses.
When I opened the plastic on the oil pastels the 1st graders where very excited. They love "brand new" stuff. We talked about how they were donated and a delicate material that needed to be used carefully. They did a amazing job not breaking them (for the most part lol)
The students have been introduced to watercolor and oil pastel now, Im excited to expand that introduce oil resist in a mixed media project!
