From the Teacher

Thank you so much for your generosity and donation to our classroom. The TV, document camera and chromebook have opened our window to the world. We use these tools every day to introduce lessons, watch teaching videos, and observe the eagles and other birds on Santa Cruz Island.

Each day we begin with learning a math lesson through our document camera and TV. This leads to observing our eagles, watching live footage of the Channel Island Kelp Forest which gives us information for our Science lesson and our reports about native fish of California.

We spend our days learning and gaining knowledge in an exciting and engaging manner. We read the book, "Islands of the Blue Dolphins", when we had completed our novel we watched the movie. We felt like we were in a movie theater, and I could hear conversation and how the book and movie were different, and the same. Every teacher's dream!

Thank you again for helping us with our project, and giving my student's the best technology to learn about the world and increase their motivation to ask questions, create new knowledge and further their educational experience!
