From the Teacher

My students were so excited to receive our box from Donors Choose!! I did not share with them what was inside the box, so they were so excited to open it. You would have thought it was New Year's Eve in our classroom when I opened the box up and took our new LEGO kits!!!!! 

We plan to use our new materials to focus on STEM and problem solving activities. We are reading The Three Little Pigs and I challenged the class to design and build a newer, safer home for the pigs. I created a LEGO station to use during Center Time. Students will be given certain tasks, similar to building a house for the pigs, but on a smaller scale. We plan to use the design cards included with the set to start building. As we become better "builders", I will differentiate the tasks for each student. 

I look forward to using these kits for years to come!!!
